Tim attended Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born in Knoxville and raised just a few miles from Oak Ridge in Powell. As Minister of Music at First Baptist, he oversees the music ministry and directs the Chancel Choir and Chancel Bells.
Prior to serving First Baptist, Tim was Associate Minister at Broadway Baptist Church, Knoxville from 1990 until 2006. Before going to seminary in 1986, he served as Minister of Music of First Baptist Church, Dandridge, Tennessee and Interim Minister of Music at Lyon’s Creek Baptist Church and Cumberland Baptist Church, both in Knox County. He also served churches in the Louisville, Kentucky area.
