This is the story of two women, Maebelle and Laurel Willett. Maebelle arrives in Oak Ridge in 1944 to begin work at one of the plants. Years later Laurel , Maebelle’s niece, comes to visit her Aunt Maebelle to hear the history of Oak Ridge. This dual-timeline novel is about the weight of secrets and the power of forgiveness.
